Dust to dust, ashes to ashes

If your just the pieces of the man you used to be.
If the world turns dark and you can't find the light.
Trust in me, that were the words you one's said.
When the holes in your body and soul are filled with emptiness and the people you one's trusted aren't their any more, where do you turn to.
The memories you cherished so much, they don't seem to comfort you no more.
Because you realize new ones will not be made.
So you chose to stay where you are, a trusted space, there where nobody can reach you.
But although it's safe, there is no room to go back or forward.
Stuck in a place were time nor space is of the essence.
You just keep floating there, unaware of changes around you..
When the light at the end of the tunnel is finally there, it's too late.
You'll find the bridge and turn back to the world you one's knew, only to see there is nothing left.
Eyes filled with tears you turn your back to the world that you knew.
Left alone, there is nobody but you.
