Care

They come to me,
with despair on their faces,
seeking for a voice to tell
of stories about pain and misery
so that we cannot close our eyes

They come to me,
to find that last hope,
for someone with words to tell,
about the crimes against them,
so that we cannot close our ears

they come to me,
to stand up for them,
for there is no one else to tell
about their poverty and hunger
so that we cannot walk away

they come to me,
no hope left on there faces
and there are just no words to tell,
of all the evil that they endure
so that we cannot stop to care.

And here i stand ashamed and humbled
for all the love and trust they give,
how can i close my eyes, turn them away
and not to listen, not to speak.

so now i speak and won't be silent
as i call upon all human kind
lets hear the sound of all our voices
to show that we do really care
