The aftermath of the 17th of july

The plane went down,
but the warmongers are getting high.
Playing the war drum,
until the blood is boiling.

It won't be a pretty sight,
in fact it will be a deep dark night.
The war drum is playing it's tune,
to gather the bloodthirsty gang.

For the folks back home:
the king commands the throne.
He won't be on the battlefield,
that's to messy for our royal highness.

'The news' will report progress,
playing along with the congress.
Congressional approval,
despite all the upheaval.

O how they despise us,
afraid we might like Vlad the rus.
Keep on hating,
someone is waiting.

For bloodsoaked earth,
what's the worth?
Some are paying,
with their lives.

But many husbands and wives,
watch the daily strives.
Brought on tv,
this awesome reality.

And mean-time someone,
is making a fortune.
Who cares it's costing lives,
tv is entertaining the husbands and wives.

Come on play along,
and it won't last long.
Or we'll be scorched too,
in this hell hole spitting fire.

Cuz war travels far these day's,
opening up many way's.
For people to run,
never finding a place to hide.

Who will abide and who will say: NO.
In the aftermath of 17th of july 2014.
Remember you count,
even when they can count you in!
