the cliff

I found out that my path
is leading me towards a cliff
but you know what they say
one step after another

that is how you are supposed
to walk through this life
so I do what I am told by them
and set step after step

I sit down at the cliff
reach down and find a flower
growing at my
final destination

I will cherish this flower,
as I stand up, turn around
and walk backwards for once
