Is it out of date?

How is it possible
I see your lakes and rivers
even the sea polluted

people who have trouble
breathing your air
allergies too many
to mention

is it out of date
or wrong to care

how can that be you
contaminated with
radioactive parts
heavy metals
industry

everyone acts in a total indifference
not thinking about our children
or at the future of mankind
everything is for the gain
and the money

I’m going to start crying
because that’s what men do
when somebody is dying

or do we have still a chance
is it not too late
I surely hope so

for myself, my family
but especially for you
my mother Earth.
