The Clown
It’s a levity that surrounds this man
An escapism from the world he no longer knows
Everybody is laughing and smiling
Happy times and his red nose
Birthdays, parties, happy occasions
Making people smile is what makes him happy
Lots of colours in his most wonderful outfit
Happier than this no one could ever be
Tricks and stunts and funny faces
This oaf makes madness seem funny
Hidden in his costume he lives in fantasy
No one even know he’s already fifty
It’s a levity that surrounds this man
Not a care in the world and hidden from it all
By being someone else he can be himself
If you need a clown give him a call
