Start of the Hilaria, the 13 Days of Joy

Canna Intrat -- a joyous day
baby Attis by Nana born
insanely wroth at his daughter
King Galaos left Attis exposed
among reed of river Gallos

Baby Attis was found crying
a goatherd wiped the tears
and brought our future Saviour
our Archigalla to his home
raised Attis as his own

Beautiful Attis grew up happy
herding goats and singing songs
in praise of the Goddess
the Magna Mater Deum Idaea

Nana's father, curse that brute
who wouldn't believe the miracle
in truth no man had
ever touched and robbed her

The Goddess had given Nana
a fruit of the almond-tree
putting it in her bosom
the fruit then had disappeared

That's how she was pregnant
she wasn't one who'd lie
joyous day -- it's Canna Intrat
this is our baby Attis !!
