Revenge
A normal day at school
Friends greet me
Pass me
Laugh at me, maybe
And then lessons of a silly high degree
That make my brains turn into dust,
Into a pretty violent storm
all this stuff
Substitutes of random numbers or a RedRowEchelonForm
I couldn’t care less about
What the hell are they teaching me?
Why am I even here?
I don’t even want to be
in this awkward atmosphere
But then amazement filled the air
Silence never had been so painful
My very best friend, like he couldn’t care
Up the front of the class, he stood there still
Whispers through the class
Gun
Not him
Why
Everyone was ice
Never had anyone listened to him, he said.
While everyone was listening
Never had anyone looked at him, he said.
While everyone was watching.
And now I’ll have revenge.
As from that moment on I knew,
my life wasn’t all that bad.
Instead of enjoying every moment,
all I did was being sad.
But now there’s no more time to think
Because every single person,
that had to hear his speech
Now lies under a pile of dirt,
so extremely out of reach
Now there’s no more time for us to be
But luckily we’ll be shown
Big time on TV.

Over dit gedicht
Naar aanleiding van de vele moord-voorvallen in scholen tegenwoordig. Zeer bondig in woorden gezet, met een kleine kritiek.
