One night without starshine
One night without starshine,
the moon cloaked in clouds
A maiden wanders all alone
her eyes full of rotten hope,
her head lifted towards the sky
No stars to guide her road,
only the pale moon looks down on her,
like a mother in mourning.
Tired of fear,
and so terribly anone
she lays down her head,
in the cold white snow
The winter pitty's her
He embraces her in his icy arms
Her heart torn with grief,
she gives herself to him
Only the darkness stood witness,
and the dead will be her groom
