Gifts for Master Bashô.

[According to Jane Reichhold: Full Moon night of Aug. 15, 1691.]
Bashô held a Moon viewing party.
Masahide, a friend, a disciple and a merchant, gave him 45 kilos of rice:

A friend gives me rice
and is this evening's guest --
of the hosting Moon.

There was no Full Moon on August 15, 1691.
On August 9, 1691, there was one just after 00:00 GMT [Japan + 9.]
and on Sept. 7, 1691 a Friday night 00:00 GMT.
1690 -- August 20 around 00:00 GMT // Sept. 18 evening GMT.
1692 -- August 26 // Sept. 25.

Addition 2:

Bashô's Moon viewing party held at his Abode of Illusion
must have been on the first Harvest Moon of August 9, 1691.
The second 1691 Harvest Moon was on September 7.
