Satori (2).
A moment of joy
-- the monk of the valley
is planting lilies.
De vallei-monnik
zet lelietjes in aarde
moment van vreugde.
[白ç‹]
[Yosa Buson # 324, early summer.]
kari-some ni / sa-yuri ike-tari / tani no bou.
"temporary-beginning-ly" > for a moment //
sa-yuri = "little-lily" > = yuri = lily
ikèru = "give life" > to plant; to arrange (flowers)
-tari = indicates simultaneousness >
while he is planting, he experiences a moment (of joy, of satori) //
valley's monk.
