My heart is beating..
leaping out of my chest..
my body is aching..
for me there is no rest..

with a spoon full of sugar..
not only medicines go down..
please drugs, work your magic..
take away my frown..

half the pills are gone by now..
I made it to threw the night..
new battles already knocking..
but for now I am alright..

my mind feels like Jello..
and my body starts to fail..
but still this is my medicine..
on this I will not bail..

I know this stuff is toxic..
and destroys me from the inside out..
but the alternative is worse..
I just can't go without..

I feel when I am sober,
the lacking of a soul..
Now drugs work your magic..
Make me feel whole

Another day,
Another night..
No worries,
I'm quite alright..

I'm in a daze,
so I am fine..
Welcome sir..
to this hell of mine..
