why are people so blind for
what they don't want to see, when
it's clearly visible, like the
blood that is on their hands

fissures in reality
showing the weakness
they are the survivors
that lived throughout the storm

some birds fall down while flying
some of them almost hit the ground
then with the help of other birds
they fly up again, safe and sound

the birds who hit the ground
never to fly up again
they are left behind by most of the other birds
with their tears and sadness
